Postal Cartridge
USPS recycles and sells printer ink cartridges?

I bought a remanufactured ink cartridge on Ebay and it’s packaging was done by the USPS. I Googled the matter and saw that the Postal Service did indeed accept cartridges for recycling, but I didn’t see much more info on the matter. Anyone know if they still do this? I’m not at the post office enough to know if they’re still selling.

They don’t sell recycled ink cartridges along with stamps.

USPS does have a partnership with some recycling outfits, however. You can pick up free mailers to send your cartridges, phones & other electronic items to a partner company, who might then ship you a replacement (via USPS of course)

You can read more about it here: http://www.usps.com/green/recycle.htm

Popular Pitney Bowes Postage Meters to Suit Your Needs

A postage meter can be a very useful tool for you if you send out mail and parcels on a regular basis.  Having a postage meter around can give you a lot of benefits even if you only use it for your personal mail.  In fact, it is recommended for you to get a postage meter if your monthly expenses for mails amount to around $50.

The postage meters made by Pitney Bowes are considered to be the best in the market today.  It is justified praise for Pitney Bowes; after all, it was the company’s founders who invented postage meters in the first place.

If you are going to get a Pitney Bowes postage meter, what kind of meter should you get?

Low-Volume Postage Meters

How many envelopes and parcels do you send out in a month?  If you send only a handful of them, and no more than five pounds per parcel, what you need is a postage meter suited for low-volume postage.  Among the Pitney Bowes postage meters that you may find appealing is Mailstation 2.

Mailstation 2 is classified as an all-purpose, low-volume Pitney Bowes postage meter.  It has a built-in scale that can calculate postage for mails and parcels up to two pounds.  It can also process postage of different types, from first-class mail to priority mail to parcel post to international.  The ink cartridge it uses has a maximum yield of 880 impressions and can last up to six months.

Medium-Volume Postage Meters

Medium-volume postage meters are desirable for small and medium businesses that do not send out that heavy a volume of postage every month.  It is nonetheless handy to have around for mailing postcards, brochures, invoices, bills, and other documents.  Perhaps one of the most popular medium-volume Pitney Bowes postage meter is the DM300 Digital Mailing System.

The DM300 Digital Mailing System is remarkable because it can handle up to 50 separate postage accounts.  Aside from its semi-automatic feed as well as its integrated weighing scale, this postage meter is fitted with different handy functions such as tracking first-class and certified mail.  The printer ink cartridge can print between 3,800 to 7,000 impressions, depending on whether or not envelope ads are used.

High-Volume Postage Meters

As you can guess, high-volume postage meters are machines severely needed by businesses where postage is an integral part of their operations.  Because of this, it is important to have heavy-duty postage meters that can automate the process efficiently.  One of the best high-volume Pitney Bowes postage meters is the DM Infinity Series.

Pitney Bowes claims that its DM Infinity Series is the only type of postage meters that complies with the requirements of the US Postal Service regarding high-speed, high-volume meters.  The machines belonging to this series are all designed to be durable and to work continuously without any downtime, even with ink refills and postage refills.  The ink used by the DM Infinity Series postage meters can produce between 200,000 to 580,000 impressions.

Be sure to do your research first before you lease your choice of Pitney Bowes postage meter.
